Manager / Director

Lucy is a caring and dedicated childcare professional with a strong love for the outdoors. She enjoys supporting children’s development through fresh air, exploration, and active play, helping them build confidence and curiosity about the world around them.

She is a mum to three children and enjoys long walks and spending time outdoors with her family. Lucy also loves travelling and has a strong connection to her Greek heritage, enjoying holidays to Greece and sharing an appreciation of different cultures and traditions within her work.

Deputy Manager

Hannah is a cheerful and enthusiastic childcare professional with a naturally bubbly personality. She enjoys building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues, and brings lots of energy and warmth into the nursery environment.

She is a mum to two boys and lives on a farm, which has given her a strong appreciation for outdoor play, nature, and hands-on learning experiences. As a true social butterfly, Hannah loves working as part of a team and helping to create a happy, welcoming setting where children can thrive.

Nursery Assistant

Kelly is a highly experienced childcare professional who has worked in the nursery for 17 years.

 

Throughout her career, she has shown strong dedication to providing consistent, high-quality care and creating a safe, supportive environment where children can feel secure and confident.

She is a mum to one child and enjoys spending quality time with her family. Kelly’s experience, reliability, and nurturing approach make her a valued and trusted member of the nursery team.

Nursery Assistant

Emily is a dedicated childcare professional working in a nursery setting, with a strong passion for supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. She is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where children feel happy, confident, and supported.

As a mother of five children, she brings both professional experience and first-hand parenting knowledge to her role. Outside of work, she enjoys visiting the seaside and taking her dogs for long walks.

When are we open, Funding and fees?

We are open during term time between the hours of 9am - 3pm, Monday to Friday.

Nursery fees are £7 per hour, £21 for a morning, £7 for lunch (12-1pm) and £21 for an afternoon or £49 for a full day.

We also offer funding for 2 & 3 year olds including 24U funded spaces. All children over the age of 3 are entitled to 15 free hours of nursery education, please ask for more information if necessary.

This funding, together with any fees that you pay cover the running costs of the nursery: Wages, rent, insurance, food and drink etc. They do not cover any larger items of equipment, outings or any free subsidies. These can/will be charged as an extra if necessary.

 

We offer a range of healthy and nutritious hot dinners charged at £2.60 per meal prepared by the Primary school next door. If you would like to see a menu please ask a member of staff. Children can also bring in a packed lunch if they'd prefer.

What we do at Nursery:

We offer a wide range of experiences and activities that will help your child to:

  • Gain skills, confidence and independence

  • Co-operate in a group and learn to work well alongside others

  • Learn more about the world and how it works as well as our local area

 

Our nursery routine will usually look like this:

 

9:00 - Welcome the children and parents

9:05 - Registration time

9:10 - Free play - child led play with a choice of activities: puzzles, colouring etc

9:50 - Tidy up time

10:00 - Circle time

10:10: Hand wash and snack time (selection of fruit and vegetable, toast or a cracker

10:30 - Speech and Language whole group activity

10:40 - Free play, usually outdoor play, or a walk around the local area

11:30 - Adult led/key person activities

11:55 - Tidy up time

12:00 - Wash hands and lunch time

12:30: - Free play with adult led activities

2:30 - Tidy up time

2:40 - Story/song time

3:00 - Home time

 

We plan all sessions and activities around termly topics that will assist the children within our setting to achieve the early learning goals set out within the seven areas of learning and development that are listed within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

 

Activities are appropriate to age and development and are planned on an individual manner based on formal and informal observation for all children in our provision.

Admissions and policies:

When a place becomes available we will offer it to the first child of nursery age on the waiting list. You can add your child's name to our waiting list once they turn 18months old.

 

We encourage all prospective parents to get in touch early to save disappointment, we may not always have a waiting list, in which case your child can start with us asap. Our admissions process usually starts with the welcome pack being sent out, a visit with the child/ren to our setting, online registration forms sent out and returned and a free of charge settling session (9am-12pm).

Copies of our policies are available for all parents, at any time and are available to be taken home. We urge all parents to read and familiarise yourselves with our policies before your child starts with us.
